Week 25: July 28 - Aug 3

Mason
The things this kid says... like, "Daddy, you do my bed time. You don't have boobs to feed Jack Jack his milk."  (Actually, quite nicely paraphrased from something I had told him a previous night, ha!)

Jackson
- Has been having trouble falling asleep this week, sigh.  Taking a few hours to get him settled in for the evening, then waking up again about the time I am going to bed around 10-11, then still waking up for his ~2:00 feeding, and THEN waking up around 5 am.  (Did I mention SIGH?? - though he's always been pretty good, so I know I can't complain too much!)
- But it has been a BIG week for him!  His first tooth popped through at the beginning of this week (Tuesday).  I think his teeth had been causing him a lot of pain, but the only time there were tears and upset was at bedtime - I did give him a small dose of Tylenol a few nights after the sleeping issues, and that seemed to help.
- I also decided to go ahead and introduce baby food this week.  I was thinking if it wasn't his teeth bothering him at bedtime, maybe it was not feeling full enough at the end of the day.  Only a week or two shy of his 6-month birthday, might as well start the fun!  First food: sweet potatoes

Jack Jack's working on sitting up!
Up, UP, down.  It's a work in progress!
Cute, sweet, precious boy - who gives amazing snuggles and heart-melting glances...
all while he is SUPPOSED to be sleeping.
 Hello over there!!
Trying to peak at the tooth, no luck!
I tagged along for Mason's class field trip to the library to see Reptile Man
I think it was all too much for Mason to take in, but I learned a few things!
Mommy selfie
Yeah, the grand finale!
Have you met my "things"?
Jim got these shirts in Key West :)
I brought Jackson along with me to get my hair done
he was excellent, but those days are about over...
he needs more entertainment.  Heck, I need more entertainment!
It was quite the endurance event.
I go from 9:00-12:15 to get my hair bleached, set, and washed.
Then I go pick up Mason from school, go home for nap, and go back afterwards for the cut and blow-dry.  I have so much hair!!
I decided to make an appointment for Mason that afternoon too
 That tickles!
He got to sit on my lap for a few minutes too,
Then fortunately Daddy showed up to take both kids away and let me finish my cut in peace!
<3 Our first complete family dinner <3
 Jackson loved his sweet potatoes!
Then he really started getting the hang of it and enjoying it.
It wouldn't be a family dinner without a little crazy.
We drove to Everett for the weekend - Jim had a meeting at a brewery there, and there happened to be "one of the best" Children's museums just a few short miles down the road.
I didn't get many pictures, but we sure had a fun time!
We ran a few errands on the way home.
Jack's still too small to sit in here by himself, this was merely for the photo op ;).
Mason was all about the photo op... followed by pushing Jackson down off the seat, dangling by his little arm I was holding.
The building of a rocket ship!
He requested there be American Flags on the top!
A momentous occasion - We all three pooped on the same day!
Ha!!!  Jim got Mason and I our shirts when he was about Jackson's age.  Now Jackson is the one who needs the most celebration.
 A few of our out-takes :)
"Imagine-X City" A present that Lola got him a while ago, with all sorts of small parts that we tried to hide away ;).  He, of course, found them, and LOVES it all.  Fire station, bank on fire, truck that squirts water, fire fighter that holds an ax to bang down the door... what's not to love??
Convincing him to eat asparagus by turning it into a fishing pole, and having him be the fishy ;)
The countdown is on for Aggie Football!
You would never guess that this cute silly guy had a rough week, and was behind on sleep.  [Almost] always so happy!!
