June 2015

It's August... so it's probably about time for me to finish up my June post!  There was a lot of sweetness and smiles and fun through the first half of June, and then we doubled all of that in Pensacola the second half of the month... but that will have to be a different post!
These two weeks marked the end of my quarter at Western, and the end of Jackson's time at his day care in Bellingham.  They were so good to him, I will forever appreciate and miss them!  But I am so excited that when we return in July both boys will be going to the same school (different classrooms).

Admittedly I did not do a good job of taking notes this month, so I have just a few morsels:

Mason
- We've been showing him some Disney movies to prep him for Disney (shh!  it's a surprise!).  He LOVES Cinderella, and has taken to calling Jack-Jack "Gus Gus".  He also loves to call Cinderella "Cinderelly" and Lucifer "Rucifee" just like the mice do.

Jackson
- He's picking up a lot of words, but not quite right, which is so fun and cute.  He says "boop" instead of poop, and "hoot" for hoop.
- He is picking up on our silly little jokes, like how Mason pretends to sleep in the car saying, "honk shoo, honk shoo".  When I say "nobody fall asleep in the car" both of them will lay on their hands and "honk shoo" together.
- He's still rear facing in the car, and if you put on the brakes to fast, he will go "woah!"  His commentary is hilarious!

A little tractor and dirt play
Slightly less messy - Sands Alive inside
Jackson kept stealing pizza crust and walked around and ate the whole thing!
(or maybe I'll find it in a couch cushion someday)
Mason was really excited that I had a pterodactyl sized poop on my car...
he wanted to help me clean it off!
CORN LOVER!
He calls it "pop pop" (like Popcorn)
"Bubboos! Bubboos!!!"
The Spidey transformation at Mason's end of school year picnic.

Jim and Mason went camping in Deception Pass
Jackson and I just joined for dinner :)
Boys.  <rolling eyes>

Mason's favorite: Waterfront Festival!

We went during the day with Eleanor and Julia and had lots of fun
But then we had to go back that night to take Daddy!
I still cannot watch these without laughing!!
Frisbee spin art
<3 Twinsies in teal pants and blue striped shirts <3
Last day at James' Place!  Saying goodbye to Mimi
Serious monkeys.
His first tantrum.  Oh how special!
He was so upset I wouldn't hand him any more crackers when he had a few in his hands and a mouthful.
We bought BIG bubble makers at the festival!
A few more from the end of camping: have to go throw rocks!
...which explains why all Jackson wants to do with our pool is throw rocks in it.  ha ha!
Sweet little Mason got sick the day Jim left for Pensacola.
Actually we drove with a friend to pick up his truck from the airport, and poor Mason threw up into a cup the whole way home - he was such a trooper!  Then we had a good day of rest on the couch, and a sweet brother tuck-in that night!

Stay tuned for our fun Pensacola adventures!

March Madness, Part 2

I don't really have any more notes for the end of March, but I do have some notes whenever we get around to the April updates!  These boys are both growing and getting so big.  And [more often then not] they are so darn sweet!  So here's the rest of our March pix!

Sweet little Jack keeps shutting himself in rooms and lodging himself right behind the door.
And he also LOVES eating sauce packs.
Daryl watched the boys for me one day while I had a doctor's appointment
Mason loves poking holes in boxes, "doing work"
Jackson is walking while holding our hands!
Jackson LOVES eating apples.  He can say "app-le" pretty clearly and will eat it whole!
I had to move our fruit bowl away from the kitchen table because he wouldn't eat anything else.
"down down down" but first he starts head first and says "ah ah ah!"
The Cooper and Mason Band :)
I think Mason was about this age when Pappy Z got him this car.
It was time to introduce it to Jack!

Peakaboo Jack and standing but not quite walking!
But he can walk with anything with wheels - and go FAST!
Sweet bros
Daddy and the boys came up to Bellingham to help me move into my new office
(just down one room, as everyone in the suite is getting shifted).
Mason took it upon himself to hammer a bunch of nails in my wall.
I have left them there as beautiful decoration!
Another day of nice weather - Jackson's first ice cream and Mason scooting down the ramp!
Tarheel Jack
Jackson knows his animals (baaaaa is my favorite, followed by "fff fff" instead of woof woof)
Worlds best Bros!!
This one is NOT a little baby anymore!!
Jim took the boys hiking one day while I had a hair appointment
Looks like they had a pretty amazing time!

13.5 months, Jackson's first steps!!
A day out at the grocery store.
Special treat cookies first??  Followed by "healthy foods" sauce.
A momma's gotta do what a momma's gotta do.
"No!"  Not wanting to get up from nap.
This kid LOOOOOOOOVES balls.  He will chase them, bounce them, and throw them all day!
Jim got Mason a present... guess what they're doing the next day??!
Going camping!
Jackson and I went to help set up and enjoy a delicious campfire dinner.
The Cheetos were a big hit

The s'mores were pretty awesome too!
Jack and I came home to sleep in our beds, then there was a big rain storm that night.
Jim and Mas actually toughed it out and slept in the tent, but were back at our house with donuts by 7:00 am.  :)
There's a reason Daddy always calls Home Depot "a very special place"
Chef Mason makes a pretty good pizza.
He did say it was a little overcooked though.
Now where would he even hear such a thing??  ;)
A day in the life of the REAL Danger Ranger
Singing Batman for Uncle Chad
Jackson pushing Mason!
Three sleepy boys waking up from good weekend naps
Mason's brave jump
Jackson's tickles with Daddy
Strawberry nutrigrain ALL over the place
I let Jackson have a shot at Mason's sand, but really he was just throwing it everywhere.
So I switched to a "less messy" activity and got out the finger paint!
It's so fun that he is getting to big boy activities!
This is what we call a dance party "untz untz untz"
Both boys love it!
Daddy goes all out with head lamps and lights in each hand :).
