Week 48: January 5-11

Mason
- The other day I told Mason maybe we could make our own pizzas this Friday.  In the middle of the week, he wanted to make them TONIGHT.  I told him it takes more planning and prep work, and he said we should get an advent calendar to count down to making pizzas. :)

Jackson
- dislikes HATES diaper changes and getting dressed!  Holy Moly, it is such a fight!  He arches his back and squirms around and goes limp and fusses.  Sigh.  He's a little TOOT!
- I've been having him skip his morning nap (which was getting more difficult to get him down for anyway) and stay up until after lunch time in order to take a longer afternoon nap at the same time as Mas.  Most days it works pretty well!

Once he mastered the stairs, Jackson decided to take on the stool.
Little grandpa bottom.  Getting ready to sneak attack getting him dressed while he's playing.
Mason had a dentist appointment, and Jackson was really interested in seeing what was going on... So Jackson got a dentist check up too!
They both did super awesome and got purple balloons at the end :)
Brothers playing together at the Children's Museum
The most beautiful sight to ever see!
Jackson has never been a good napper at day care (I mean, there are open windows and bright lights everywhere, and always noise and chaos in the nursery!).  We have started talking about how he will transition to the toddler room in February, and he occasionally goes down there to play during the day.  I suggested they try to let him nap in there if they had the space, and he took a 2+ hour nap!  So now they let him nap there every day, and he's actually spending quite a bit of his day in there!
 A little family train
Trapped! Can't go up, can't go down.  Sorry Jack Jack, safety first!!

Flexing his muscles outside of Bayside Fitness, so we can have a picture for his weekly calendar

Jackson held his own playing in the tots section
And picking up some SERIOUS germs!  (Ha ha ha, but Ick!  He actually had a pretty horrendous cold for the next few days)
"A little help please??"
Playing with dough and being cute on pizza making night

48 weeks, phew!
Always with bumps and bruises, this week's bonk due to falling off the mat and getting carpet burn at daycare.

Week 47: Dec 29-Jan 4

Mason
- We started trying out churches for the first time since before having kids.  We kept Mas and Jackson in the service with us and decided to play it by ear... Mason seemed to enjoy the singing at the beginning (it was Contemporary), but then after the singing he said, "can we leave now?"  Then, during the service he asked, "why is he not talking about Satan?" and then started singing "don't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine!"  (At least he knows SOMETHING about the church/God situation! ;p)
- Mas has seemed pretty shy/timid the past few weeks, particularly in situations with lots of people.  He likes to stay close by and doesn't want to do activities without us.  This has been the case all Fall/Winter with our music class, and has been becoming the case when we have playdates over at our house and I need to leave the room to do something (he must come with me or he breaks down into tears!).
- This has made for some tough drop offs at school lately, and is also the reason we are keeping him with us in the church service (until we decide which church we want to go to consistently).  Even when we took Jackson back to the play room, Mas still wanted to stay with us.

Jackson
- Loves blowing kisses and making "mwah!" sounds
