This is a good time and place to be picking up this post ~ as Jim and I are getting ready to go on our SECOND Hawaii trip next week (Sept 2016). Here's just a few comments I had written down about our silly boys:
Mason
- from sitter: "Jackson you're so cute. Can you please stay the size you areeeee?"
- "my junk is big today! It's thick and chunky!"
- Mason to Court: "Court, you can be my Butwer. The Butwer isn’t a real butt” it is someone who helps superheros."
Jackson
- what's dat? (about EVERYTHING)
- Matmoni (macaroni)
- 'tar (guitar)
Trick-or-treat hangovers
At church later that morning...
Maybe there was still a bit of sugar in their blood stream

Mason's first attempt at Jingle Bells, getting ready for the Christmas recital!
I love that Jackson is so interested in being involved too!
Always at the ready ~ I feel so safe!
Best, most thorough, grocer ever!
Transitioned our pumpkin decorations to turkeys!
I love how excited these boys are, and how Jackson adores his big bro.
"Mom, super huge emergency -- Jackson is writing on the wall!" ~Mason
Humph, 3.5 years into parenting, my first experience with wall art!
Jackson still points at it daily and says, "I draw on wall!" so proudly.

November 6th: 21 months old...
Having fun with our "take that ball to the hoop" cheer...and then this little guy started putting his pee-pees in the potty, standing up big boy style!
(He is in no way potty trained, but pretty much goes on command every time you ask!)
My guitar hero, trying to manage that big beast!
Indoor camping with Daddy, because Mason got sick and couldn't go to the campsite.
But on the bright side, Jackson got to participate this way!
But then Mason got really sick this night, and blew chunks all over our couch :(
A few days later ~ Lola arrived!
She watched the boys while Jim and I took our "first ever much needed trip together without the kids since Mason was born" to amazing, relaxing, beautiful Hawaii.

Aloha from our balcony!
POG mimosas and breakfast buffet every morning

Getting ready for 90-minute massages!
Looks like our sweet boys were having a pretty good time too
But we upped our anty with a daily oceanside cabana
Sampling out all their drinks, and hiding our pale legs from the sun!
The fun with Lola continues: special treats, drawer fort, popcorn + movie, and mummy hotdogs
Schmoopiness ahead ~ sunset horseback ride
on our horses Beetle and Cody

Our horses were nuzzling so we had to also!
Turtle Bay resort in the background!
We had a great time - Jim kept trying to get his horse to hold back so that he could jog forward. Lots of giggles were had, until we realized he lost his cell phone somewhere along the trail and we had to get a security guard to take us out in the dark on a golf cart to find it (success by the way!)
Sweet Jack must have loved the videos and pictures of our horseback riding... he was inspired!
We enjoyed an evening of watching the surfers while the sun set
We LOVED Turtle Bay ~ already planning a trip back!
But it was good to get back home to see the boys and give them their souvenirs the next morning.
